Bob brings you the SMU Chamber Singers

Dear Friends,

Each day, I plan on presenting to you 5 short profiles of different members of the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Chamber Singers.

Today I bring you the four different section leaders and the tour manager.

Andy Bauer

What is your favorite musical work that you are performing on this tour?

I have enjoyed every minute of Claudio Monteverdi's Sestino. Beautiful piece!

Michelle Cullen
Class Year: 2011
Major: Music Technology
Vocal Part:
Alto (Tour Manager)

What have you been looking forward to most about Italy?

I have been to Italy before so I have been excited to head back to the Trevi Fountain, and throw a coin in the fountain to help bring me back again.

 Gabbi Langan
Class Year:
2011
Major: Marketing
Vocal Part
: Alto (Section Leader)

What is your first impression of Italy?

The city of Rome and the countryside is very busy and everything is very full. While traveling country it is apparent to observe that so many cultures are represented in the population.

Matt Polum
Class Year: 2012
Major: Vocal Performance
Vocal Part: Tenor (Section Leader)

What was your first impression of Italy?

The lifestyle of the Italian people is completely different than it is in America. It is a real culture shock.

Leah Rath

Soprano (Section Leader)

What are you looking forward to most about Italy?

I am looking forward to experiencing Ancient Rome. This place and the history is idealized by mostly everyone.
